Ford an GM virtually dominated the truck market in the 1960s, and while their trucks have long been modified,
it takes a little more work to modify a Dodge pick-up. The A100 was ideal for the modification, however, as it
featured an optional 273cd (4.5litre) V8 small-block for 1965. This rev-happy engine made an ideal candidate
for tuning, as this example shows. The addesd benefit was the motor being mounted well behind the front
wheels, which improved wight.distribution even though this truck can still light up the rears at a touch of the
throttle. The truck features the original suspension, albeit lowered, and Cragar chromed five-spoke rims with
modern radials to improve both traction and handling. While intended mostly for work use as standard, this
update example has a reworked interior with full Sony sound system and custom-built consolo, plus leather seats.
