bueno con la motivacion de Tany, ahora os pongo otro 4x4 derivado del Kübelwagen (tambien por el foro).
este es la version amfibia y 4x4 del Kubel y se llama Schwimmwagen









 Professor  Ferdinand Porsche  like many men and women of their generation were themselves immersed throughout their life in the strong political convulsions that shook Europe during years 1900-1945, including two world wars. Its creative genius was to the service of its country developing military vehicles during the periods 1914 - 1918 for the German emperor, and in the years 40-45 for the III rd. Reich.
The car shown here is an amphibian developed and manufactured in 1941 when the fate of II the World War wasn't yet poured off to the side of the Allied forces.

The Schwimmwagen , initially was designated as type 128 , it was built around a standard "Beetle" frame, with a wheelbase of 2,400 mm , 100 units of this type were produced, although this figure is not trustworthy, it entered production in Wolfsburg as type 166 with a wheelbase of 2,000 mm. It was designed to ford rivers, and was powered with a retractable outboard propulsive system , the propeller was geared by a drive shaft connected to the four cylinder VW boxer engine , although it hadn't rudder it could be driven with the steering wheel that made front wheels work as rudders , in addition it had an oar to row across the rivers in case of engine breakdown, a typical German foresight , but it had no anchor.

It demonstrated to be a very effective vehicle, simplicity of design was one of his pros, which enormously facilitated its maintenance even in the most adverse conditions, the 24.5 cm ground clearance of the flat underbody allowed it to overcome muddy roads and favoured the sliding of the underbody over the snow.

The estimated production figure of the type 166 was approximately 15,000 units. Finally closing the history of the saga initiated in 1940 with the four wheel drive Volkswagen type 84 , and taking advantage of the versatility of the frame of the 166, a Beetle bodywork with a wheelbase of 2,400 mm was fitted over it , the resulting vehicle was denominated Kommandeur with a estimated production figure of 667 units. The Schwimmwagen , Porsche type 166 paved the way to Porsche for the future development of the four wheel drive vehicles , it would be followed by the Jagdwagen type 597, and the Cisitalia but that is another history .

Ahora si que me has dado Montañes! El Kuwelvagen es para mí el mejor vehículo anfibio de rápida movilidad que ha existido para los ejércitos. Este coche está derivado del Escarabajo, y fijaros si sus sistemas eran simples (y efectivos) que como ayuda de emergencia por si el coche se quedaba parado en mitad del agua, equipaba dos fabulosos remos de madera....jejejeje
Ha sido la única maqueta que acabe. Este coche es fabuloso. Mil gracias Montañes

el anfibio era el schwimmwagen, el kubel era terrestre y no 4x4. de ahi la superioridad del jeep americano ke si lo era. en maqueta yo tenia dos kubels, dos schwimm, tres jeeps, un jeep ruso ke no recuerdo la marca, y asi como 50 o 60 carros de combate... ademas de infanteria varia. ahora estan todos en cajas de cualkier manera y rotos... las mudanzas y no estar ahi cuando hicieron los bultos me lo jodio todo...

Es una pasada ese vehiculo, pero encontrar uno aunque sea destrozado para restaurar es caro y practicamente imposible

Adoro ese coche, yo también he hecho maquetas sobre el Kubel y Swinchwagen, con soluciones muy simples y solo con tracción trasera (eso si, llevaba reductora) hicieron un auténtico todoterreno. La solución a la propulsión en el agua era una toma de fuerza trasera en la que engranaba la hélice que iba cogida al capó trasero mediante una bisagra, simple y eficaz, cuando Ferdinand Porsche y su equipo se ponían eran la leche. Cuando Ferdinad y su equipo se ponian aveces hacian cosas majas. Afortunadamente la inutilidad de dicho señor y su relación personal con HItler logro que los alemanes invirtiesen un monton de dinero y recursos vitales en tanques que fueron un fracaso.
Vamos, que con un tono jocoso, no hay que divinizar al señor Ferdinand que hizo el peor tanque de la segunda guerra mundial al que le cambiaron el nombre de Ferdinand a Elefant de pura verguenza.

POr cierto el Swinch tenia buena fmaa no como el Jeep anfibio.
