Additional Information:
The Mitsubishi L200 HDA is a purpose-built armored vehicle, collaboratively engineered with the vehicle manufacturer to perform in the most demanding environments, and available exclusively from Armored Auto Group.
Special features of this vehicle include a newly designed, reinforced chassis, high performance powertrain and brakes, and a competition inspired heavy duty suspension; all derived from Mitsubishi’s years of experience in building vehicles for off-road racing.
The powertrain is based on a 118 CV (116 HP), inline 4-cylinder Turbo Diesel Intercooler (TDI), capable of delivering 30.6 kg-m (221 ft-lbs) of torque, a 5-speed manual transmission with a heavy duty 225 mm (8.86”) diameter clutch plate, and a special “hot climate” cooling system which aggressively extracts hot air from the engine compartment.
The chassis has been reinforced in 18 critical locations, and the heavy duty suspension includes dual shocks on each wheel, tough 27 mm (1.1”) diameter torsion bars in front, and large rear leaf-springs. Also standard on this vehicle are high performance double-piston front brake calipers, and heavy duty 15” steel wheels with large “Mud Terrain” tires and RODGUARD™ run-flats.
