Vamos a hacer memoria, os acordais de unos viejos cacharros rusos que se vendían en España hace la tira de años........?????
Pues bueno aqui teneis como han ido avanzando estos rusitos.
Empiezo con un poco de historia en inglés:
In July 1941 the State Defense Committee (GKO) adopted the decision to evacuate a number of large enterprises to Siberia, Urals and to Volga region.

ZIS was among them, with its that-time director I.A. Likhachov. It was he who sent a group of specialists headed by E.A. Dundukov to Ulianovsk to search a site for the assembly subdivision already in August 1941.

At that time Ulianovsk was a small town on the right bank of Volga, mainly of wooden buildings. Only two central streets demonstrated stone-work (Goncharova and Karl Marks streets).

The site for the plant's assembly was found on the Volga bank. There were the State Customs Department warehouses there. The site's advantage was in that two railway lines led there, and it was by these lines that the first managers and workers of the would-be Ulianovsk Automobile Plant (Ulinovsky Avtomobilny Zavod) arrived from Moscow on the 20th of October 1941. From the first day the work was in full swing. Warehouses had to be emptied and the newly arrived equipment was then to be mounted. Just in a little more than two months production successfully started and by the beginning of 1942 the ammunition Tools 2 Shop delivered its first output of air shells.

The main staff was from Moscow, numbering 1,500 with P.I. Shvartsburg as the head.

By May 1942 first five ZIS-5 automobiles had been assembled. There were Mechanical Assembly Shop 1, Mechanical Assembly Shop 2, Standards Shop, Assembly and Test Shop, Tool 1 and Tool 2 Shop, Thermic Shop with Metal Coating Division, Mechanical Mounting Shop, Railway Shop and the Main Laboratory.

And in July 1942, when the assembly rate raised to 20-30 vehicles per day, ZIS's Ulianovsk 4th branch (UlZIS) was officially appointed as the head plant to deliver ZIS-5 automobiles. At the same time field automobile workshops based on ZIS-5, low-displacement engines and gas-generator devices for ZIS-21 were assembled. On the 22nd of June, 1943 GKO adopted the decision to build an automobile plant in Ulianovsk. For that end the Town Executive Committee allotted 200 hectares of land beyond the Sviyaga river for industy and civil construction.

One of the most interesting events of that time was designing of the UlZIS-253 automobile. Designers and engineers, since arrival to Ulianovsk, had occupied first part of the Book Palace, then the Local Lore Museum, and in the autumn of 1944 moved to the new plant's site beyond the Sviyaga. In the spring of 1943 B.L Shaposhnik, the General Designer, was summoned to Moscow, where People's Commissar S.A. Akopov ordered to engineer new automobiles. Already by May 1944 the first sample of the Diesel truck named UlZIS-253 had been assembled.

That 3.5 metric tons Diesel truck was up to the American Studebaker in the engine's efficiency and dynamic properties, was highly appreciated by the specialists, but was never put to serial production by a number of reasons.

Only insignificant part of the multi-numbered plant's personnel lived on the new site, the rest were still scattered over the country-side. The plant's settlement consisted of 8 barracks, 25 flats each, and five wooden four-flat houses.

The total settlement's population as of the 16th of January 1945 numbered 1,200, 674 of which were on the plant's staff.

In April 1944 an order was issued to open the auto-mechanical technical school. Its first principal became A.M. Golubev. The first graduation of this school - several dozens of engineering technicians - took place on the 23d of May 1946 (three branches: die-forging, founding and cold working).

In the end of 1944 ZIS-5 vehicle production was moved to the town of Miass, and our plant was charged with GAZ-AA automobiles production. Already in the autumn of 1945 the first group of specialists from the Gorky automobile plant arrived to Ulianovsk, with first parties of various equipment and technical documentation. The plant, still under construction, was to begin delivering 1.5 metric tons GAZ-AA truck. The first such vehicle left shop's gates on the 26th of October 1947.

On the 31st of August, 1948 I.K. Loskutov was appointed the Ulianovsk automobile plant's director. In 1950es the main plant's buildings: Forge, Press Shop, the Main Assembly Line buildings were being built under his supervision, an automatic machines shop, a chassis shop, a woodworking shop were opened. In 1949 V.G. Demidenko, the former ZIS specialist, after having worked all the war in Miass, moved to the plant. His system of blanks unification made radical change in the production.

In 1950 the plant significantly raised the output of GAZ-MM trucks, actually similar in design to GAZ-AA. This was chiefly accounted for the increase of the productive capacities and manufacturing of new parts, which allowed to noticeably reduce the dependence on GAZ supplies.

At the same time, the plant's managers paid much attention to civil construction. The first street in the new living district was Avtozavodskaya Street. And near it a new cinema and concert hall with a stage and rooms for hobby groups was constructed.

In the summer of 1955 by an order of the USSR's Ministry of Automobile Industry the Ulianovsk automobile plant was charged to cope with the production of light-weight cross-country passenger GAZ-69 vehicles and trailers, formerly produced in Gorky. Those automobiles had been designed by Gorky designers headed by G.M. Vasserman and put to serial production in 1953. The sample parties of those cross-country vehicles left the assembly line already in the end of 1954. The first thousands of the 'green goats' were assembled using assemblies and parts, delivered to the plant from Gorky. Since 1955 the plant has officially specialized in production of light-weight cross-country vehicles. GAZ-69 proved to be widely used in many branches of the national economy in all the climate zones of this country. The vehicle got widely famed both in this country and abroad for its robustness, simple maintenance and other features. And in 1956 it entered the world market. As soon as in 1959 GAZ-69 was exported to 22 countries of the world.

In 1954 the General Designer Department was created at the plant. At first, it was a small group headed by I.A. Davydov; they received documentation from GAZ and passed it over to the engineering department after handling and acquisition. With coming of young specialists designing new UAZ family vehicles began. The first samples were assembled already in 1955.

The first vehicle of the family was UAZ-450A ambulance. A van arrangement with smooth contours, bent windshield providing good view, several stretches and sits inside, two driving axles and soft suspension - all these features meant a kind of revolution turn-over in the automobile techniques. The vehicle was second to none throughout the world at the time.

Responding to the users demands the General Designer Department designed new assemblies and units. Along with the ambulance, the UAZ-450D light-weight truck was created. In the 1950es there emerged an idea of all-round mechanization and automation of the assembly work among the plant's specialists. The engineers considered creation of pushing assembly lines. By their means using all the building volume and the basement, arranging transportation of the main automobile units in the desired direction, creating of hung-up storage for the units supplying the work places would have been provided. Implementation of the new system into the assembly turned so efficient, that "Izvestia" paper wrote: "There is not such a system either at GAZ, or at ZIL. The Ulianovsk people seem to have overcome their older brothers, from which they took lessons of large-scale serial production of lately."

In January 1961 a decision was adopted to cope with new automobile models. Already in that year the plant stated serial production of UAZ-451D platform truck and UAZ-451 van. At the same time improving technical characteristics of vehicles and arranging the units in a more rational way was being performed.

In 1959 designing a new passenger vehicle was commenced to take place of GAZ-69. In 1965 after thorough designers' work on the cab, suspension, axles final tests of UAZ-469 were performed, then the vehicle documentation was transferred to the engineering department.

At those years construction of many important large objects were performed in Ulianovsk, which were to turn the town into a large production and cultural center. Intensive building was in full swing in Zasviyazhye district as well. Houses with modern conveniences, schools, hospitals, kindergartens were being erected in several of its central micro-districts. Only in 1964 more than 500 families of the plant personnel celebrated moving to new flats. The Palace of Culture, a wide-screen cinema, musical school and a library were being built.

One of the main achievements of 1965 was production of UAZ-452A. At that time designers intensively worked on creation of specialized vehicles based on serial automobiles.

Thus, a cross-snow automobile was designed based on UAZ-451D. It had steering skis instead of the front wheels, while the rear axle was equipped with resin-metal caterpillars. Another interesting model, a cross-snow, cross-swamp vehicle with four caterpillar drives, was created on the base of a serial UAZ.

The very fact of creating such unique vehicles was one more evidence of apt design and rich potential of Ulianovsk cross-country automobiles. And as a natural result, the international exhibition of agricultural techniques held in May 1966 in Moscow gave the deserved yield. By the jury decision UAZ-452D truck was awarded the highest prize - a gold medal.

1966 was memorable for the multi-thousand staff of UAZ. On the 20th of August UAZ was awarded the order of the Red Banner of Labor for the ahead of time fulfillment of the seven-year plan, successful implementation of progressive techniques. Many of the personnel honored high state awards for many-years irreproachable record. That was how the people of UAZ celebrated the 25th anniversary of plant.

In January 1967 the USSR's Ministry of Automobile Industry and Gosplan adopted the project of reconstruction and expansion of the plant. This project provided 3.5 times raise in vehicles production and production of new models. At that time I.D. Maslov, the former secretary of the Ulianovsk district CPCU committee was appointed the director.

In early 1970es production of new passenger UAZ-469 was carried on. But the work was hampered by the lack of finance for construction and re-equipment of shops. The Ministry was reluctant to invest additional funds. Only in March 1971 the minister agreed to be demonstrated new automobiles. The products were presented by the General Designer P.I. Zhukov. It was only after that presentation that the minister gave his consent to allot the necessary funds and to serially produce the new Ulianovsk cross-country vehicle. The plant's staff was to transfer the production of GAZ-69 to other enterprises in limited time and get ready for uninterraptable and rythmic work from 1972.

In the spring of 1972, soon after founding of AvtoUAZ production amalgamation (with subordinating Ulianovks's Avtozapchast ("The Spare") plant) the new model cross-country automobiles successfully passed all the tests, which results proved the new Soviet automobiles to be of a acceptably high technical level.

In 1972 an extension was built at the south side of the main assembly line which made it possible to activate a second assembly line. In several months trucks production raised more than 1.5 times, labor productivity grew considerably.

On December15 1972 first serial UAZ-469 automobiles left the main assembly line, the per-day output of which was to raise more than twice already in the first quarter of 1973.

By February 1974 the total number of vehicles produced by the plant was about one million. On February 18 the millionth automobile left the assembly line. It was an UAZ-452.

Overcoming difficulties of growth the plant was steadily developing material and technical base for further increase of productivity.

One of the largest new-builds of the plant was Press and Body Building 2. More and more clear became the outlines of the second forge building. Instead of recent foundation pits the foundation of a new mechanic building was erected. Designers, engineers and builders prepared new working areas of body shops to be put to work to provide for a rythmic run of assembly lines. For 1974 complex mechanization of hard and labor-consuming processes was planned, first of all of store and transportation operations, usage of efficient mechanized warehouses and modern transportation techniques.

By the end of 1975 new working areas, automated production lines, hundreds of instances of the most modern tools were put to production at UAZ. The new third mechanic assembly building began its work, a mechanized welding and assembly line of UAZ-469 door extensions was near ready to be run in the second press and forge shop and a mechanized site for UAZ-452A body assembly in the second forge shop.

On February 16 1976 the Ulianovsky Avtomobilny Zavod was awarded the second order of the Red Banner of Labor for ahead of time fulfillment of the five-year plan and successful coping with new models of automobiles production.

In October 1977 UAZ-452 vehicle (a van) was granted the State Quality Sign, and UAZ-452D confirmed its correspondence to the highest quality category.

The further reconstruction on the plant made it possible to dramatically raise labor productivity in a number of work areas and improve the outer look of vehicles. The shop for dying UAZ-452 bodies was fully mechanized, new working areas were allotted for the automatic machines shop, new production capacities of forge shop were being involved. In two and a half years more than 150 new technological processes were implemented, as well as 700 items of new equipment and over 6,000 meters of various types assembly lines.

On the basis of the first and the second press and body, chassis frame, longeron and fixture shops the Press and Welding Production Unit was founded; merging several assembly, body-assembly and woodwork shops Body Assembly Production Unit was established. In November-December 1978 the Metallurgy Production Unit and the Auxiliary Shops Complex were created.

But quite not always mechanization and automation of production resulted in better labor organization. The main causes were low production culture, lack of qualified labor force, outdated tools. It was time to change the style of managing labor organization and technical progress, time to implement a system of effective control of decision fulfillment, to actively put VAZ experience into practice.

Soon the new General Director of the AvtoUAZ amalgamation, candidate of technical science Vitaly Vasilyevitch Takhtarov wrote an article to the plant's newspaper titled "The System Suitable for Interests of Every and Any". What was the essence of that system?

First and foremost, a large number of piece-workers were shifted to by-hour wages with bonuses for rate compliance and rate intensity. A team of workers became the smallest self-financing unit. Planning the production in norm-hour and teams' self-financing provided for a centralized control of the production processes, repair activities, material and accessory supply, for decreasing the labor consumption.

Implementing integral structure of a shop resulted in an increase of the shop foreman's role and in his increased wages. The engineer work also changed. Large specialized design and engineering services equipped with modern tools and techniques took place of separate low-productivity design and engineering ones.

It is impossible to imagine this county's contemporary time without UAZ vehicles. Having substituted GAZ-69, UAZ automobiles had a resolute step-in to the world market. If one compiles a list of all the countries where vehicles from Ulianovsk have been imported to since 1956, it will comprise nearly 100 states. To win such a large market UAZ had to undergo quite a number of trials. In 1974 UAZ-469 climbed Elbrus in 25 minutes, taking stops into account. (Only in 1997 a Landrover vehicle ventured to climb the same mountain to break the record.) Stone slopes, steep uneven rises were quite a new sensation even for the experienced testers, excellent racers V. Dunayev, Ju. Bulaghin, V. Kharuzha. The automobiles passed the trial with honors.

Testing the cross-country vehicles in the northern regions of this country became memorable for many drivers, designers and engineers. The tests were commenced since mid-1960es when first samples of UAZ-452A ambulances for the Far North and Siberia with auxiliary heating, double windows glazing and extra floor, roof and side thermo-insulation were produced at the plant. These vehicles were to pass all-round testing on heavy roads under frost down to -60? C. For several days test were run under -60? C in the Oimyakon region, while inside the ambulances a temperature of +30? C was held. In 1975 a race in Sahara was held, in 1979 - a race in Kara-Kum. Vehicles of such class had never before ridden there.

Praiseful responses about UAZ vehicles' performance are received from Colombia, Egypt, Nepal, European countries. Our automobiles are very popular on Cuba's sugar-cane plantations.

Trans-African race on four UAZ vehicles won broad fame in Italy. These vehicles are used for numerous tourists transporting on Vesuvius and Etna. In early 1960es the plant began cooperating with an Italian company of Martorelli brothers, which had been purchasing GAZ-69 and later UAZ vehicles.

In October 1978 in the town of San-Remo the second European competition of cross-country automobiles was held, where our vehicles took first places, and A.I. Kuznetsov, the plant representative, was awarded the "Silver Lifting Jack" main prize.

In 1989 on the invitation of the Central Television a team of our testers took part in the Great Silk Way expedition. UAZ vehicles have run 10,000 km over the Middle Asia roads, second in none to Mersedes-Benz automobiles, and breaking rises in mountains at altitudes over 2000 m above the sea-level the UAZ vehicles had advantages in speed.

In the last two decades there were a lot of changes at the plant. A constant work of modifying all the produced models is being done, new ones are being created. In 1980es the designers created several interesting automobiles, which were not put to serial production on a number of reasons. Thus, by 1980 an electromobile had been created, an ecologically clear model. A 1.5 metric tons mini-truck with a Diesel engine was designed for a plant in Kirovabad. And in 1983 a team of designers was awarded State prizes for designing a swimming automobile Jaguar. This model was intended for the Army, in particular for frontier guards. Its water speed was 8-10 km per hour; there is still no analogous vehicles in the world. In 1982 the automobile plant was awarded a diploma of the Trade and Industry Chamber of the USSR for the active participation in trade, economic and scientific and technical relations with foreign countries development

In 1992 plant was restructured into a open joint-stock company "Ulyanovsky Avtomobilny Zavod", an "Avtotekhobsluzhivaniye" company was created for servicing clients.

At present, more than a dozen on basic models and about a hundred modifications for all tastes leave the plant's assembly lines. In 1993 the UAZ-31514 new modification production was started with main new features of a metal roof and adjustable seats. In 1994 the UAZ family was extended with UAZ-31514-010 model with coil spring suspension. And in the October on that same year the plant was awarded the "Gold Globe" prize for the valuable contribution to the development of this country's national economy and integrating into the world economy, as well as for the competitive and quality products.

In February 1997 a new "3160" shop was put to production and producing of small series of automobiles (PAMS) was started. The first model here was UAZ-3153 with a lengthened base. On August 5 1997 the first sample lot of UAZ-3160 left the assembly line. This vehicle meets the requirements to the vehicles of such class by its technical and economic parameters and can be exploited in all the climatic zones of Russia. The techniques used allow to raise the resource to 220 thousand km. New engines installed, both petrol and Diesel (90 to 132 hp by "Volzhskiye Motory" and ZMZ) provide, depending on the type of the road, decrease the fuel consumption down to 14 liters per 100 km.

In 1996-2000 UAZ completed the first stage of modernizing the produced vehicles, having put to serial production the new UAZ-3160 jeep.

A all-round modernization of the traditional model has been performed in parallel:

long-base UAZ-3153 (stretch deluxe);

UAZ-3159 with electronic fuel injection ZMZ-409 engine by Zavolzhsky Motorny Zavod (ZMZ);

UAZ-39094 (Fermer-1 - "the Farmer") with 5-seat cab and a metal platform;

UAZ-39095 (Fermer-2) with a sleeping berth in the cab and a metal platform.

The work done to extend the variety of vehicle models allowed JSC UAZ to keep its automobile market in the total volume of automotive goods selling in the Russian Federation and UIS.

In 1998-2000 UAZ engineered the new UAZ-3162 "Simbir" long-base jeep. Serial production of the vehicle was started in January 2001.

UAZ has a strategic program of equipping the produced automobiles with new engine models, complying with Euro-2 ecology requirements. At present, vehicles are partly equipped with electronic fuel injection engines by the Zavolzhsky Motorny Zavod (ZMZ-409) and OJSC "Volzhskiye Motory" (4213 and 420 models).

In addition, work in under way for equipping the vehicle with Diesel engines by the Zavolzhsky Motorny Zavod, GAZ and, partly, by imported engines.

In 1996-2000 new production processes were innovated:

axles of new design production, enabling a 2 times greater axle resource as compared with those in serial production;

production of front disk brakes instead of drum ones;

production of 5-stage gear box for equipping the new UAZ-3160 and UAZ-3162 models;

Automobiles are equipped with new units:

a diaphragm clutch instead of a lever one, providing for twice as much resource;

hydraulic steering booster in place of the former worm device, improving vehicle steering;

In 1996-2000 UAZ did a lot to design a new light-weight semi-hood "Multi-van" vehicle. The basic model of the vehicle has 7-9 seats body with 3000 mm base. A modification is available to accommodate up to 12 persons.

UAZ exhibited the vehicle at Moscow auto show in 2000 and got much positive response.

In 1996-2000 much was done at the plant for developing and implementing a complex plan of scientific and technical progress.

In the Press and Welding Production Unit a production line of heavy 800 ton presses was innovated, a working area of truck metal platforms was put to production

In the Mechanic Assembly Production Unit a brake drum production line and a working area for assembling axles of new models were started.

In the General Designer Service a Design Center was implemented with a mock-up workshop to design new automobile models.

5000 meters of assembly lines were put to work in the production units, 20.0 thousands of circulating packages, 330 items of hosting and transportation equipment. Three all-round mechanized warehouses were put to work.

The OJSC UAZ products are delivered practically to all the regions of Russia and the neighboring countries, partnerships with the countries of Western Europe, Asia and Africa are being restored. The plant holds the European Gold Mercury prize for the sales volumes.

Issues of family life and social and cultural development have always been a prime aim for the plant's mangers. The plant has two recreation bases, a health center, a children's camp, its own medical service, an out-patients clinic, a medical diagnostic center. There is a "Torpedo" sport center with dozens of sports masters and candidates.

There are scores of clubs and hobby groups in the Culture And Technical Palace, the "Volga" people's dancing ensemble, the "Variant" ball dancing ensemble, the people's musical comedy theatre, the people's Circus on Stage.

UAZ-31512 (the so called "komandirsky - commanders" is a passenger all-wheel drive automobile with a soft top (canopy) and a drop tail gate. Although it is one of our most inexpensive models, transporting passengers and load on any roads and, what is the most important, across rough country won't cause you any troubles: tested in action (in the Army, in rural districts) 92 hp engine, hard 4-doors body and practically immune to wear chassis won't let you down.
           You can choose a vehicle with front coil spring suspension or with small-leaf suspension, with standard or comfortable seats, etc. There are modifications with axles equipped with in-wheel reducers, so called "Army" axles.
           In short, if you need an inexpensive, undemanding and true Russian jeep, your choice is UAZ-31512.

For comfortable ride on any kind of road and in the open country a passenger UAZ-31514 (31519) is being produced, with a metal roof and improved interior finishing (the standard features set includes adjustable comfortable seats, soft interior upholstery, decorative finishing, front ELMO wheels disengagement coupling, "kengurin" additional tubular front guard, etc.).
You can choose a vehicle with front coil spring suspension or with small-leaf suspension, with standard or comfortable seats, with standard axles or the ones equipped with in-wheel reducers, so called "Army". There are modifications with a vent hatch, radio and tape recorder, of different comfort level (including "super deluxe" 31519-080) - for any taste.

A new UAZ-3153 automobile model is assembled on the UAZ-31514 chassis, but as distinct from it, UAZ-3153 base is extended to 2760 mm and a more powerful (98 hp) engine is installed. The normal fuel consumption level is decreased and seating capacity increased (to 9 passengers).
UAZ-3153 vehicle is passenger-cargo, with four-door body, hard top, drop tail gate and trunk cover, the trunk significantly enlarged. The vehicle is intended for passenger and cargo transportation on all types of roads and across any country.

UAZ-3159 is a new all-wheel drive cargo-passenger automobile based on the UAZ-3153 "stretch-deluxe", featuring a wider track (1600 mm) and enlarged to 300 mm ground clearance (due to reducing axles, for the first time (!) combined with the coil spring front and small-leaf rear suspension).
The vehicle has a greater cross-country capacity, better stability, motion smoothness and steering on roads with any coating.
The standard features were extended by:

small-pitch transfer box

UAZ-3159 is equipped with a new generation 16-valve ZMZ-409 engine with electronic fuel injection. The engine has a cast-iron cylinder block, 2 camshafts in the cylinder head with a chain drive.
The interior was radically changed. A radio and tape recorder unit and an acoustic system are installed in standard places. Sliding door glasses with stops and roof hatch improve the ventilation. The seats covering is in harmony with the interior upholstering, and more far-back (as compared with the base UAZ-3153) rear triple seat became more comfortable.
New noise-suppressing material and doors' double sills resulted in a new level of comfort. A single swinging rear door with a lock like that installed into side doors and a spare wheel mounted on it enables free access to the load compartment, a wiper and a washer on the door provide for a clear rear window.
The vehicle is equipped with a spherical towing device, headlight hydraulic corrector, modified for a wider track fenders and side pieces, - all this as a whole gives it an elegant and finished look.

UAZ-3160 is cargo-passenger all-wheel drive automobile intended for people and cargo transportation on all types of roads and any cross-country. It differs from now in production UAZ vehicles in a higher-level comfort and better technico-economical characteristics, the vehicle meets the safety standards. Quality body coating, a roof hatch, modern light devices, "kengurin" tubular front guard, door sills, radial tires, excellent view, modern dashboard, full interior upholstering, angle-adjustable steering wheel, modern seats with head-rests for the driver and the passengers, while both the rear and the front seats are equipped with inertial safety belts, give this five-door station wagon elegant look and provide for a high comfort level for the driver and the passengers.
The body of the base UAZ-3160 model is all-metal five-door seven-seats station wagon. As for the comfort and the design, the interior is analogous to modern passenger vehicles. The driver and front passenger seats are longitudinally adjustable, as well as the back angle and waist adjustable. The rear triple seat with a two-piece folding back may be folded to provide room for the load. At the same time, the rear seat along with the front ones may be unfolded into a sleeping berth. Additionally, for short-distance trips two longitudinal folding seats may be used in the rear part of the body, with the access from the swinging tail gate.

A new Russian cross-country UAZ-3162 vehicle, intended for running on all types of roads and cross-county differs from the currently produced UAZ-3160 jeeps by the base lengthened to 2760 and, consequently, by a greater load capacity and the number of passengers. Lengthening the base of UAZ-3162 family vehicles made it possible to raise the stability and smoothness of motion.
   It is a really large, full-size cross-country vehicle with excellent body proportions and an enlarged interior, where passengers feel comfortable, cosy and spaciously. An enlarged rear side door and a changed rear triple seat mounting provide for better passengers' in-out process. Comfortable driver and front passenger seats are longitudinally adjustable, the back is angle adjustable and waist adjustable. The rear triple seat may be folded to provide room for cargo. Unfolded front and rear seats make sleeping berths. In addition, two longitudinal double folding seats may be used, accessed from the tail gate, swinging to the side.
   UAZ-3162 vehicles may be equipped with any engine installable on UAZ-3160 family vehicles. At present they are petrol engines with fuel injection by Zavolzhsky Motorny Zavod and Volzhskiye Motory.
   Coupled with 10-stage transmission, the provided power features facilitate for a spectrum of traction-dynamic characteristics wide enough for various costomers.
   In addition, lengthening UAZ-3162 vehicles base provided for improving such safety and comfort characteristics as stability and motion smoothness.
   The proposed UAZ-3162 family vehicles fully meet the modern international and home requirements for the vehicles of such class, which is proved by the tests results.

The family of promising light-weight UAZ vehicles is intended for passenger and cargo transportation on all kinds of roads and cross-country. The family is to replace the now produced UAZ-3741 family. The family differs from currently produced UAZ vehicles in higher comfort level and improved technico-economical characteristics, meets the requirements of safety standards.
   The base UAZ-3165 model of this family is a vehicle intended for passenger transportation with 6-9 seats. Mounting two roof hatches, radial tires, excellent view, modern dashboard, full inside upholstering, angle adjustable steering column, modern seats with head rests for the driver and the passengers allow you to enjoy riding this vehicle. The interior is especially attractive for those who is used to travelling much. Fully transformable interior allows you to arrange a sleeping place in short time, as well as a room for cargo in the back or a compartment.
   The body of the UAZ-3165 base model is all-metal five-door station wagon type one. By the comfort and finishing the interior is analogous to modern passenger vehicles. The driver and front passenger seats are longitudinally adjustable, the angle and waist adjustment is also provided.
   The family includes: universal cargo-passenger vehicle with 6-9 seats (combi), passenger vehicle with improved comfortability; a van with low top, a truck, a truck with enlarged cab; a special-purpose vehicle with a high top: ambulance, van, bus with 12 seats. In future, the family contents may vary and grow depending on the market situation. The vehicles are planned to be produced in two modifications: 4x4 and 4x2.
   The van models feature a low roof for the short rear slope (5.3 m3 van volume), and the lengthened rear slope modification, depending on the variant, features a low or a high roof (6.5 m3 and 7.2 m3 van volume accordingly). A truck is also provided with inner platform sizes of 2600 by 1970 mm (2000 by 1970 mm for the 5-6 seats local cab overall inner platform dimensions).
   The family is planned to be equipped with engines of different types: petrol, in-line and V-engines with 4-6 cylinders, as well as home and imported Diesels.
   The number of seats not exceeding 9 provides for that a customer with a "B" category driving license can ride the vehicle.
   Therefore, this family makes it possible to produce a wide spectrum of vehicles, from highly comfortable mobile offices and family vehicles to Army and the Emergency Ministry ones.

UAZ-3150 is a dynamic four-seat vehicle for sports and entertainment trips, intended for any types of roads and cross-country. The new UAZ-39095 is truck with an enlarged all-metal two seat cab with a folding berth and a trunk. The platform can accomodate 950 kg of load. The engine power is 98 hp, fuel consumption is reduced by 1-1.5 liter. The fuel distance endurance is also enlarged: there are two fuel tanks 56 liters each.
   The new spacious cab features better noise suppression, there is a vent hatch, adjustable comfortable seats with head-rests, an improved dashboard, door and rear side upholstering. Due to wide color spectrum, "kengurin" and colorful applique work the cab looks modern.

This Fermer - "the Farmer" van model is a special cargo-passenger all-wheel drive vehicle with 3 single side doors and a folding tail gate.

UAZ-39094 is a truck with five-seats cab and 10 cm lowered metal platform with wooden floor with a removable canopy frame and 3 side folding canvases. There is a couple of double seats, folding.
   The vehicle is equipped with a new, more powerful (98 hp) and a more efficient engine. The vehicle, as compared with the base UAZ-3303, features a better load capacity, a better stability and smoothness of motion.
   UAZ-39094 is much more comfortable (new adjustable comfortable seats, new steering wheel, improved interior, a more powerful heater, a vent hatch, an improved dashboard, doors and rear side upholstering, better noise suppression, etc.). The vehicle has a more modern look ("kengurin", wide color spectrum, applique work on the cab, etc.).
   Optionally, the vehicle may be delivered in a simplified modification (by finishing and features).

A mini-bus and and a CROSS-COUNTRY vehicle! UAZ-2206, intended for passenger (and cargo, if need be) transportation on all kinds of roads and cross-country, combines these seemingly mutually exclusive characteristics. The reliable chassis design, all-metal body, easy maintenance, undemandingness and immense performance is tested by generations of people allowing to say that UAZ-2206 is a all-purpose vehicle!
   At present, we can propose many UAZ-2206 modifications with different comfort (from 6 to 10 seats inside, with various seats, with a hatch, etc.). There are differences in outlook: wide color spectrum; plastic decorations and "kengurin" in some modifications; different wheel resin, and so forth.
   To improve traction and dynamic characteristics, the base mini-bus is also equipped with new models of engines with 2.89 liter displacement 98 hp (UAZ-22069 model). For the first time in history of automobile production in this country an aluminium cylinder block with poured thin cast-iron cylinder liners was used, which increased the block hardness and lowered inner friction overhead. As a result, the new engine takes 3-4 times less oil and 1.5 liter less of petrol than the standard one.

No es por nada Juan Manuel pero tuve una experiencia nefasta con un coche (de lo que antes llamabamos el este)y un compañero mio con un Uaz en concreto, y es para no desearselo a nadie.
Si es para la coleccion, en la base has de colocar un cartel que diga Marca ...Uaz, Procedencia... antigua URRSS, no tocar Peligro.

Buenas, no se que tendrá el hunter, pero es cautivador, osea, me atrae mucho la idea de tener uno, claro está que la deshechas rápido, pues no se venden en España, no habrá piezas de desguace y las nuevas será difícil de conseguir.
Aparte está lo de que decís de que son de mala calidad, pero son molones, molones!!!  ;)

La respuesta no es del todo correcta, hay distribuidores Uaz en varios países europeos y allí los puedes matricular sin problemas. Si alguien se le pasa por la cabeza comprar uno debe pedir en el minuto 1 un documento COG con euro 6. Algunos distribuidores los dan y otros no.

Con este documento se matrícula en España sin problemas como vehículo N1G, es decir furgoneta. Velocidad máxima restringida y más frecuencia de Itv. Queda como homologacion individual sencilla de 1500e. Nada de tunearlo antes de matricular pues no lo aceptarán en industria.

Sin ese documento NO se puede matricular ni homologar de ninguna forma. Un tipo de Dos Hermanas se compro 3 furgonetas Uaz y se las comió con patatas.

La opción B es pedirle a alguien de Europa que vaya a venir a vivir a España que compre una a su nombre y cuando venga aquí haga una matriculación por cambio de residencia. Solo necesitará una ficha reducida firmada por un ingeniero y presentarse con ella en itv y tráfico. Luego te lo vende como si se tratara de un vehículo normal.

La opción C es comprarse una unidad de más de 30 años y restaurarla. Se matrícula cómo histórico. Un vehículo uaz tipo Hunter o furgoneta se consigue por 2000e y los recambios son regalados. Puedes reconstruirlo con piezas modernas incluyendo motor actual (es de lo poco que cambia). No vale la pena ir a un desguace.

En cuanto a la calidad depende, como los vinos, del año de fabricación. El Hunter y furgoneta se construyen cómo se hacía en los años 60, a mano sin robots. En su mercado son vehículos que cuestan 8000e y con acabados industriales de hace 40 años. Ahí reside su gracia.

Romper no se rompe fácil,  en países del este siguen funcionando ambulancias y vehículos de trabajo de los años 90 y en países de Asia Central es uno de los vehículos más apreciados por su sencillez. Estan a años luz de los vehículos suv de las marcas premium de aquí.

Puede gustar o no, pero el precio en su mercado es de 700.000 Rubos (aproximadamente 10000€). El motor que monta es gasolina, 2.7 litros y 128CV.

Aqui no habrá. Hace un tiempo estuve hablando con Lada España, ellos no podían importar coches, solo recambios. A mi me extrañó pues en Alemania se venden todos los modelos. Indagué y descubrí que los Lada alemanes son vehículos fabricados en Alemania y homologados como serie corta. Una serie corta de hasta 50 unidades es menos restrictiva.

En Alemania el importador modifica el vehículo adaptandolo, y a partir de ahí lo homologa como made in Germany. Eso se puede hacer si el 70% del valor añadido es Germany.

En España no existe ninguna ventaja para series cortas, de modo que aquí no habrá fabricantes artesanales tipo Morgan (Inglaterra).

Yo mi furgoneta la compré en Republica Checa y para cumplir los estándares europeos hubo que hacer algunas modificaciones en el vehículo ruso (cosas de seguridad/numero de plazas que se redujeron a 7). Allí un importador homologa los cambios y quedan homologados para todos los vehículos iguales de la misma serie. Aqui en cambio la homologación individual debe repetirse una y otra vez, pagando aunque sea copy paste.

A mí que soy un apasionado de los coches en general y de los rusos en particular, me has dejado alucinado... muchísimas gracias por el aporte. Me encantaría coincidir alguna vez contigo para ver esa joya de UAZ, he visto muchas pero siempre circulando por el noreste de Europa... suenan a 127... jejejeje. Pero sus aptitudes offroad son intachables, de hecho en la carretera de los huesos suelen ser de los pocos vehículos que se ven circulando.
Supongo que su velocidad máxima será bastante restringida, no?

Yo suelo circular a 90/100 Km/h, y solo pasé de 130Km/h por Alemania/Francia cuando la traje. Las marchas son cortas pero en quinta aun corre. Al subir una cuesta de autovia muy grande, como la que hay en Fraga, la furgoneta pide meter 4.

En cuanto a capacidades todoterreno sinceramente no lo he probado, he circulado solo por pistas, carretera y carretera con nieve en propulsion trasera con marchas largas. De serie lleva bloqueo de diferencial trasero neumatico y reductora. No se como son los recorridos. Las ballestas son muy planas, largas  y van por encima del eje. El chasis también es bastante plano.

De los 5 vehiculos todoterreno que tenemos en casa, el que más confianza me inspira en campo es un LR88 Especial del año 79 que lleva las ruedas del 109. Este tiene exactamente la misma distancia entre ejes que la UAZ, clavado al mm. Pero la UAZ tiene voladizos y las ruedas pequeñas que me dan inseguridad.

La furgoneta es muy ancha por dentro, yo mido 1.80 y quepo tumbado comodamente en el maletero después de las 7 plazas. Para mi es un vehículo cómodo para viajar si no tienes prisas. De altura mide lo mismo que el Massif, pero vas sentado un palmo más arriba.

El sonido del motor con catalizador ya no es de 127, es un sonido más grave y no veo parecido con otros vehiculos. No es un sonido feo.

En España hay otra furgoneta parecida, de los años 90. He oido que hay un propietario de una en Alicante, pero aun no la tiene matriculada. Quizás os queden más cerca.

Y en este tiempo hice un master de homologaciones. Cualquier vehículo se puede matricular en España, aunque a veces se hace muy complicado. Yo mi furgoneta intenté matricularla como vehículo histórico, que es donde se puede matricular cualquier cosa sea moderna o no. Imagino que eso es texto para otro hilo.

Creo que la frase que has dicho y he remarcado es demasiado arriesgada .... nosotros homologamos vehículos y te garantizo que no todo se puede homologar en España. En tu caso la furgo UAZ es gasolina lo cuál facilita muchísimo las cosas, pero en el caso de los diesel tal y como está hoy día la normativa, créeme que hay muchos modelos que directamente no pueden ser homologados.... bueno, a menos que te metas en el desarrollo de un motor.... cosas que a marcas como Toyota no le compensan económicamente no creo que a un particular le salga rentable.
Y ampliando podemos hablar sobre por ejemplo, todo lo contrario, la electrificación de los coches, en muchos países de la UE, está permitido electrificar un coche, es decir, transformarlo de combustión a eléctrico y en España aún no se permite. Hay al menos dos empresas en España que se realizan a convertir casi cualquier coche en eléctrico y por lo que sé están teniendo muchísimos problemas en posteriormente homologarlos. Yo llamé telefónicamente a una y me dijeron que estaban avanzando pero a que a fecha actual, bueno fue el año pasado, no te garantizaban 100% la homologación del vehículo.
Y por qué pongo este ejemplo? Pues porque si es casi imposible homologar coches no contaminantes por la burocracia made in Congo española, no te cuento cuando se trata de motores de combustión que no cumplen normativa exigida. Y sí, efectivamente si conviertes un motor Euro3 a Euro6 podrías teóricamente homologarlo, pero el costo? Te puede costar más que el coche, no?

No quiero polemizar, pero el tema me interesa como curiosidad.

Yo entiendo que el que quiere matricular un coche de serie y se mete a realizar una homologación individual es que tiene un coche raro.

Si miras el reglamento de coches históricos, verás que en el capitulo I, articulo 2, punto 3 pone que podrán considerarse históricos:

"Los llamados vehículos de colección, entendiéndose por tales aquellos que por sus características, singularidad, escasez manifiesta u otra circunstancia especial muy sobresaliente merezcan acogerse a esta consideración."

Yo llegue a pedir a Industria de mi región que me explicaran el criterio de escasez manifiesta. No me fueron capaces de contestar y me cansé, pero es un punto interesante. BMW hace unos 6 años fabricó una serie muy corta de 20 años de coches deportivos para conmemorar algo, y uno de ellos fué matriculado en Baleares a pesar de no estar homologado, lo colaron como histórico. Segun criterio de industria ese "merecía".

En enfermedades, en Europa, se considera rara si la padecen menos de 1 cada 50.000 personas. En vehículos "raros" que son los de escasez manifiesta deberá haber un criterio técnico que indique cual es y un ámbito al cual se ciñe.  En España hay 30 millones de vehículos, y en la union europea 252 millones.  ¿qué es un vehículo con escasez manifiesta? ¿y cuando merece o no ser matriculado? ¿quien lo decide? ¿y cómo?

Esto lo discutí de buen royo con el anterior jefe de industria de mi comunidad, y al final no supo que era lo correcto. Pero ahí está la ley (un vehículo de mas de 30 años en estado original puede matricularse como histórico, eso es fácil. Un vehículo de algun hecho o personalidad también - el Audi que sacó a Aznar del atentado lo es, y un vehículo de colección también lo es, aunque no tenga 30 años y no haya estado en ningún lugar).

En los años 20 en Mallorca se fabricaban artesanalmente los vehículos Loryc. Hace unos años un Alemán decidió hacer una réplica del coche pero con motorización eléctrica. Este vehículo intentó homologarlo en España para matricularlo y poder circular, no pudo, estuvo peleando años con industria y al final tiró la toalla. Se fué a Alemania y ahí le hizo una homologación de serie corta europea. Ahora los fabrica en pequeña serie, en España, y los matricula aquí con homologación importada.

Electrificar un coche normal en España es "imposible". Hable del tema con la empresa Jofemar y me dijeron que los que estaban ya homogados si, pero homologar nuevos imposible por precio. En Europa si se puede hacer.

Lo mismo con remotorizar el coche, yo tengo un LR viejo y si deseara ponerle un motor Euro 6 no puedo. Antes se podía si coincidia la potencia o demostraba que el coche era modificado adecuadamente. Me lo plantee en su día porque tengo un motor de gasolina Ford de 6 cilindros en V que está casi nuevo y me pareció algo divertido. Pregunté y no era posible.

En Alemania en muchos lugares para circular debes conseguir una plaqueta verde, que deje claro que tu coche contamina lo justo. Allí venden kits y filtros que permiten a los vehículos pasar de una clasificación Euro a otra mejor.

Entonces me estás dando la razón que NO TODO se puede homologar en España... lo digo porque luego la gente te dice que ha leído en un foro que todo es homologable en España...
Nosotros que traemos coches de fuera, te puedo asegurar que hay coches que NO se pueden homologar en España de ninguna de las maneras, salvo lo comentado.... te pongo el ejemplo de los FJ Criiser. En el mercado de oriente medio se sigue comercializando este modelo, pero no es homologable en España, lleva una serie de modificaciones para ese mercado que hace que las emisiones se disparen y es extremadamente complejo deshacerlas. Qué ocurre? Nosotros les decimos a los clientes que no podemos traer esos coches y la gente los trae por su cuenta.... a los meses nos llaman para pedirnos homologarlos y sabemos que no se puede... conclusión? Coche para el extranjero.

OJO! Eso no quita y seguro que conoces más de uno, a auténticos piratas y estafadores que consiguen homologar los coches de manera ilegítima, esto es con chanchullos.... pero la gente debe saber que si homologas un coche que no se puede homologar, cuando lleguen los cuatro años de la ITV no la pasará y te tocará sacarlo igualmente del país. Hace unos años hubo un lío importante con esto con una ITV en murcia... así que aviso al consumidor.... ojo con los que homologan TODO.

En teoría se puede homologar todo, solo hay que realizar una serie de ensayos y quizás alguna modificación en el coche.

En la práctica cualquier cosa rara que no tenga código de homologación europea, COG o documento de actos reglamentarios NO SE PUEDE HOMOLOGAR Y MATRICULAR EL VEHICULO de forma normal.

Es cierto hay empresas que falsifican la documentación y matriculan el coche, pero al final acaban pillando el infractor. Conocido fué el caso de las Harley. Esa no es la forma correcta de proceder.

En su día estuve peleando con INTA e IDIADA y no fuí capaz de averiguar que ensayos había que hacer, ni cuanto costaban. Todo eran evasivas, me decían costosas pero no sabía de que estaba hablando. Ya cansado del tema decidí hacerlo yo mismo, escribí a la fabrica UAZ en Rusia y pedí el documento de actos reglamentarios Ruso válido para la Federación Rusa.

Un documento de unas 40 páginas que traduje con mucha paciencia (no se Ruso así que google translator y reteclear todo). Al final tenía un montón de especificaciones Rusas, con homologaciones rusas con normativa Rusa. Eso aquí no vale nada. Pero la mayoría de las normas Rusas son trasposiciones de normativas CEPE/ONU, lo mismo que las normas EU que rigen aquí. Así que me puse a cotejar unas con otras.

De un documento saltaba a otro, y acabe con una montaña de normas algunas del año 56, 70, .... y si era cierto que el vehículo cumplia todo lo que iba mirando, al cabo de unos meses me rendí, porque para cumplir una norma había que cumplir tres normas anteriores y no se cuantas anteriores y no había forma de acotarlo. Entendí porque los de IDIADA/INTA siquiera quisieron hacerme un presupuesto. Es un marrón, hay meterse con los detalles. Por ejemplo aqui los espejos retrovisores llevan grabado leyenda que pone e11 o algo parecido, pero si es de fuera no pone nada con lo que has de coger la normativa de origen, en mi caso rusa estudiarla y luego mirar la de aqui. Si es lo mismo la puedes dar por equivalente, pero en el caso de que no lo fuera has de realizar un ensayo y comprobarlo (posiblemente el ensayo consista en romper el retrovisor de varias formas distintas).

En paises del Este los vehículos UAZ están homologados desde los años 70, y se han ido poniendo modificaciones en la homologación. Homologar uno actual allí es sencillo pues se basa en los cambios. Hay que trucar un poco el motor para que cumple Euro 6, quitar asientos para pasar de M2 a N1, añadir anclajes para la carga, proteger mejor los depósitos de combustible, .....

En otros paises como Alemania, Holanda o Belgica aceptan una homologación de otro pais europeo.

Aqui no se acepta aunque legalmente se debería. Llegué a escribir al ministerio de industria para que me explicaran como se obtenía un certificado de equivalencia. El ministerio de industria español debe pedir la homologación individual al ministerio del otro pais europeo y emitir un certificado de equivalencia. En la práctica la ley existe pero el procedimiento no está desarrollado.

Me queje al defensor del pueblo, pues no me parece de recibo que un señor que compre un coche con COG o el documento de actos reglamentarios aqui deba hacer una homologación individual, que al final no es una homologación sino un paripé burocrático de 1500€. El defensor del pueblo me contestó educadamente que entiende el problema pero que no puede hacer nada.

Importar un vehículo FJ Cruiser con especificaciones Arabia Saudi con la pretensión de matricularlo, es una estupidez, NO SE PUEDE. Otra cosa es que lo consiga matricular legalmente en cualquier pais europeo y a partir de ahí traerlo aqui. Basta con irse a vivir allí, estar un año residiendo con el coche, aprovechar para aprender idiomas y luego traerlo como cambio de residencia. Se hace una ficha reducida, se pasa la ITV y se matricula sin necesidad de homologar. Pueden pasar los años, pero un coche así la ITV no puede echarlo para atrás.

Como anecdota, mi primo heredo de su padre un Jeep Cherokee americano muy poco usado matriculado en Suiza y cuando lo trajo aqui pensando que sería coser y cantar, después de un año, acabó entregandolo a un desguace (le pagaron 2000€ y seguro que en plan piratilla le troquelaron el chasis de otro).

Miramos con bastantes empresas de ingeniería pero imposible. No cumplia normativa de emisiones europea ni tenía placas ni na de na. Eso si el coche estaba nuevo, pues mi tio apenas lo había usado. Somos tercos y peleadores no nos rendimos a la primera, pero lo que no se puede no se puede.

Por lo que dices, antes de comprar un vehículo en el extranjero hay que pedir COG o actos reglamentarios y preguntar en una ITV si eso vale si te dicen que si, volverlo a preguntar en un laboratorio tipo IDIADA/INTA.

A ver si podéis echarme un mano. Os cuento...

He decidido intentar importar una furgoneta Bukhanka (o Buchanka) de UAZ. Pero después de ponerme en contacto con el distribuidor checo (https://uaz.cz/cs), ya han empezado los problemas. Esto es lo que me han dicho desde IDIADA:

"Buenas tardes,
 
Al tratarse de un vehículo no matriculado tendríamos que homologarlo como vehículo completo nuevo y tratarlo con la Normativa a último nivel por lo que, para este caso no sería viable puesto que emisiones (entre otras) no cumple a fecha de hoy.
 
Saludos y siento las molestias".


En fin, antes de tirar la toalla, os agradecería que pudierais ayudarme.

Solo hay una furgoneta uaz matriculada en España. La consiguió matricular por cambio de domicilio. La compro en un país del este y la puso a nombre de una persona que se iba a venir a vivir a España. Tuvo que hacerlo 6 meses antes de que se viniera ya que el vehículo debe de estar ese tiempo a su nombre para poder hacer el cambio de domicilio . No hay otra forma de matricular ese trasto en España. No tiene contraseña de homologación europea, no cumple euro 6. Y una homologación unitaria se va de precio además no cumple con ninguna normativa europea de emisiones, seguridad y pruebas de choque

Cumplir normativas europeas deben hacerlo. En República Checa, Alemania, Bélgica, Italia... tienen concesionarios que las venden matriculadas como N1G cumpliendo Euro 6.

La Normativa en esos países es la misma que en España, pero aquí no se puede.

Si alguien residiendo ahí puede comprártela y luego revendertela aqui. Una matriculación por cambio de residencia no lleva homologacion.

Yo la mía la matriculé en 2017, y como el mundo de las homologaciones es cambibiante quizás ahora sea distinto.

Si estás interesado en serio yo sugiero que hables con una empresa o ingeniería especializada y te dejes asesorar.
Luego pregunta a los distintos importadores que documentación te entregan.

¿Cog? ¿Homologacion individual europea? ¿Otra?
