Hola Foro,
yo no habla espanol... Hello Friends, i hope you can help me nonetheless! I am from Germany and since 2007 i own a classic LR Santana 109 Especial. Its the love of my life
I was lucky to buy this one from an old farmer near Barcelona. Its the full spec luxury version with the 6Cyl. 3.42 ltr Diesel Engine, power steering and overdrive. Its done 35 thousand kilometres since i bought it and is quite reliable - even took us trough Norway.
Now i have a slight bit of oil out of the seam between head and block between 3rd and 4th cylinder. Not much. But i am pretty sure i´ll have to replace the cylinder head gasket (junta de culata).
I have a couple of questions:
1. Where can i get a new junta de culata (parts number G04002?) ? I couldn´t find a dealer on the internet and since this engine was build exclusively by Santana in Linares the usual LR parts sources in the UK can´t supply.
2. Is it possible to reuse the bolts that hold the block (tornillos de la culata - nuevo o reutilizar?) or do they stretch and are single use only?
3. I suppose the valves and valveseats (valvulas y guias de valvulas, parts numbers 527248F1/550158F1 and 605482/3) are the same LR used in the 2.25 ltr engine from Solihull? Is it possible to use parts from the UK here?
4. Can you confirm the parts numbers? i have a santana parts catalogue and handbook but only in a .pdf version which is hard to read sometimes.
5. Where do you get parts from (except breakers yards)? Are there any Internet dealers for classic Santana parts in Espagna? How do i order parts from Santana in Linares directly? Is it even possible? Do they even make parts for classics? I once send an email to Linares customer support never received an answer though...
Muchas gracias, Nicolas
